Introducing Ingrid Wellacott, Specsavers’ second audiology partner in New Zealand.
As Specsavers takes its first steps in New Zealand, we’re excited to welcome our second pioneer partner Ingrid Wellacott, who has come on board as a Partner in Papanui, Christchurch.
Ingrid, who holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, as well as a Masters in Audiology, has always had a passion for audiology. And she brings with her a wealth of experience, both as a practicing audiologist and as a product specialist for a hearing aid company.
“I always have audiology on my mind – even ask my friends and family – and I’m thrilled to be able to help shape the audiology industry in New Zealand,” she says
Ingrid decided to join Specsavers after learning more about the Specsavers model and what it offered both to her and her customers.
“Becoming a Joint Venture Partner is the opportunity of a lifetime because I get to go into business for myself, but also have the support from a larger organisation,” she says.
As a Partner, Ingrid is looking forward to learning more about managing her business, as well as providing high-quality clinical care to her customers.
“I feel very supported by Specsavers and have built a strong network here; it truly feels like everyone is excited about my journey,” she said.
Ingrid is continually impressed by Specsavers’ commitment to professional autonomy and high clinical standards. “As a health professional, it’s important that I’m able to provide the best possible care for each customer that walks in the store,” she says.
Ingrid loves being able to perform QuickSIN on all customers as part of their thorough diagnostic hearing assessment, with many customers telling her that it’s the most comprehensive test they have ever had.
“As a Specsavers partner, I can focus on the needs of my customers, while knowing the great value pricing I can offer ensures everyone has the chance to have better hearing at a much more affordable price.”
But what she is looking forward to most is building relationships within the local community and providing accessible and affordable hearing care to the people of Papanui.
If you’re ready to make waves in New Zealand audiology by joining our pioneer partners, now is the time to talk to us.
