Darrel MagnaGeneral Manager - Audiology
Darrel has been with Specsavers for 25 years, working both in the group head office in the UK, as well as across multiple Specsavers markets. In 2007, he joined the Aus/NZ team to launch Specsavers optical business in Australia and New Zealand. Now, as General Manager of Audiology for New Zealand and Australia, Darrel is focused on challenging the ‘norms’ of industry and providing more opportunities for clinicians to start and grow their own business.
Nick TaylorHead of Professional Services and Product
Nick joined Specsavers Audiology in ANZ in 2017, after four years as a training and development manager in the Specsavers UK audiology business. An audiologist himself, Nick understands what makes audiology professionals tick – and he understands why the Specsavers model keeps customers coming back. He is responsible for making sure our audiology partners and team members have all the professional support they need – and access to the best products at the very best prices.

Paul RolfeAudiology Relationship Manager – NZ
Paul has been working with Specsavers in the UK and Australia for the past six years, a career spanning across retail, warehousing and logistics. He has worked with optical and audiology partners alike to help grow and strengthen their businesses along with themselves personally. Paul has been part of the Audiology team since its inception in Australia in 2017 and has been involved in the business’ growth to more than 125 stores. His role will be varied, from the initial recruitment of new partners right through to ongoing business support. Paul believes audiology is a fascinating field to be a part of and enjoys working alongside partners and support office colleagues to grow their businesses.
Clara KwarambaProfessional Services Consultant - NZ
Clara has been a qualified audiologist for more than 15 years, largely working in the private sector in New Zealand. Originally from Zimbabwe, Clara passionately believes in the fundamental work of audiologists: to help New Zealanders hear better. She enjoys meeting everyday Kiwis to assess their hearing health and explore solutions to maximise their communication with family, friends and others in their lives. Clara is responsible for supporting Specsavers Audiology partners in their clinical practice and helping to ensure that Specsavers’ excellent clinical practice standards are in place and upheld. She will be out and about in the clinics, interacting with customers and partners and constantly looking at ways to provide an unrivalled experience for everyone who walks into a Specsavers Audiology test room.
